Very important is a road loss of third rankedGELP (4-4) against fourth ranked La Union (5-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting GELP was defeated by La Union in a tough game in Colon 60-68 . La Union forced 22 GELP turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Matias Caire (188-1999) who led the winners and scored 21 points. Forward Emilio Gimenez (196-1995) accounted for 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Cuban Joan Gutierrez (192-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and forward Juan Boffelli (197-1998) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for GELP in the defeat. La Union moved-up to third place. GELP at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Quilmes.
