We should mention about the upset which took place in Formosa, where higher rankedQuimsa (14-9) lost to nineteenth ranked La Union (8-14) in a road game 77-83 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Owens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Arnold Louis (201-1990, college: SSU) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Quimsa's coach Leandro Ramella rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union moved-up to seventeenth place. Quimsa at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost.
