The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedUnion (158-9) in La Rioja on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Riachuelo (15-7) 90-83 . It ended at the same time the 152-game winning streak of Union. They outrebounded Union 47-26 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Fabricio Diaz (205-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and Federico Bustos who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Riachuelo LR's coach Gonzalo Castillo used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Facundo Chamorro responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Lucas Peralta (-2005) scored 21 points. Riachuelo moved-up to seventh place. Union at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost.
