A very close game took place in Comodoro Rivadavia betweenGimnasia and San Martin . Ninth ranked Gimnasia (16-12) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked San Martin (16-15). Gimnasia managed to escape with a 2-point win 74-72 in the game for the eighth place. Worth to mention a great performance of American Andre Nation (196-1993, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Travis Daniels (203-1992, college: MSU) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Gimnasia's coach Martin Villagran used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Gaston Garcia (187-1998) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gimnasia have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser San Martin dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Regatas.
