Regular Season Round 36: Ferro - Quimsa 77-93

La Liga top team -Quimsa (24-10) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Ferro (15-17) in Buenos Aires 93-77 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ferro. Quimsa made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ferro 37-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Ferro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Bahamas center Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Quimsa's coach Leandro Ramella used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-2001) replied with 23 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and swingman Felipe Rodriguez (195-2003) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ferro. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Quimsa have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-10 record. Ferro at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 17 games lost.
