There was an upset in Formosa whereSan Lorenzo (1-2) was defeated by La Union (1-1) 89-79 on Thursday. It was a great shooting night for La Union especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for the former international forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) helped adding 16 points. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four La Union players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Augusto Alonso (187-1998, agency: BIG) with 16 points and the former international guard Selem Safar (191-1987) scored 17 points. San Lorenzo's coach Sebastian Burtin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union will meet Obera (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Lorenzo will have a break next round.
