Very expected game in La Rioja whereBochas was defeated by Riachuelo 76-66 on Saturday. Riachuelo outrebounded Bochas 56-36 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Riachuelo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bochas ' players. Point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) stepped up and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Riachuelo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Ashia McCalla (170-2000, college: UMBC, agency: Interperformances) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Natacha Perez (176-1991) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
