Regular Season Round 4: Penarol - Quimsa 88-85

Penarol 's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Quimsa (2-2) 88-85 on Wednesday. The winners were led by point guard Luciano Guerra (184-1997) who scored that evening 28 points and 4 assists and point guard Facundo Vazquez (185-1998) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach Leonardo Costa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) did not help to save the game for Quimsa . His fellow American import center Jerome Meyinsse (208-1988, college: Virginia) added 21 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Penarol (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place. Loser Quimsa dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Atenas.
