There was no surprise in Cordoba where 13th ranked Atenas (1-4) was edged by eighth ranked Boca Jrs (3-2) 67-65 on Friday. Guard Tiago Drocezesky (193-2005) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Jose Copesky (184-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Tiago Tomatis scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Boca Jrs. moved-up to sixth place. Atenas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Penarol. Boca Jrs. will meet at home higher ranked La Union (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atenas will play against Olimpico (#18) in La Banda and hope to win that game.
