There was a minor upset whenChanares lost to Gorriones in Rio Cuarto 55-73 on Friday. Gorriones forced 25 Chanares turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Jacqueline Soto (-1997, agency: BIG) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and supported her with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gorriones players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by naturalized Italian point guard Regina Carosio (165-1986) did not help to save the game for Chanares . American power forward Jazmyn Turner (188-2001, college: IUPUI) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests.
