Union 's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Racing Ch. (1-4) 78-77 on Thursday. Strangely Racing Ch. outrebounded Union 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan guard Yeferson Guerra (192-2003) who led the winners and scored 20 points. American center Chris Vogt (213-1999, college: Wisconsin, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import center Deion McClenton (208, college: Keiser) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Racing Ch. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Union (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Gimnasia. Newly promoted Racing Ch. dropped to the sixteenth position with four games lost.
