Not a big story in a game in Caba where 8th rankedIndependiente (2-4) was outplayed by first ranked El Talar (4-1) 97-56 on Friday. El Talar outrebounded Independiente 54-27 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. El Talar looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jazmyn Turner (188-2001, college: IUPUI) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) responded with 15 points and naturalized Italian point guard Regina Carosio (165-1986) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. El Talar have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory El Talar went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Ferro. Newly promoted Independiente dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Berazategui and Riachuelo.
