Rather predictable result in James Craik where third rankedChanares (4-2) beat 7th ranked Quimsa (1-4) 77-64 on Friday. Chanares outrebounded Quimsa 45-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Italian point guard Regina Carosio (165-1986) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side responded with 14 points and scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chanares have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-2 record having just three points less than leader Obras. Quimsa at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Chanares will meet league's leader Instituto in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimsa will have a break next round.
