Regular Season Round 7: Penarol - La Union 63-60

Very important is a road loss of third ranked La Union (5-2) against fifteenth ranked Penarol (2-4) on Sunday night. Visiting La Union was edged by Penarol in a tough game in Mar del Plata 60-63. Penarol forced 20 La Union turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Gonzalo Aman accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Franco Gimenez (190) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Valentino Finetti (204-2005) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively for La Union in the defeat. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place. La Union at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Union will play at home against Argentino and hopes to get back on the winning track.
