Very expected game when 6th rankedRiachuelo (2-4) was smashed by second ranked Instituto (6-1) in La Rioja 74-50 on Monday. nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and forward Brisa Perez (165-2000) accounted for 18 points. Four Instituto players scored in double figures. point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Luciana Delabarba (167-1997) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Riachuelo in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Instituto . They maintain second place with 6-1 record having just one victory less than leader Hindu. Riachuelo lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Berazategui and Independiente.
