There was an upset in Santiado del Estero where higher rankedQuimsa (3-3) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Racing Ch. (2-4) 90-79 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Manuel Rodriguez (203-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Racing Ch. players scored in double figures. The former international Leonardo Lema (203-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-1988, college: Virginia) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Racing Ch. moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Quimsa dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Penarol and San Martin. Racing Ch. will meet higher ranked Olimpico (#13) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Quimsa will have a break next round.
