There was a minor upset in La Banda where 13th rankedOlimpico (2-4) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Racing Ch. (3-4) 86-82 on Thursday. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and Manuel Rodriguez (203-2002) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Racing Ch.'s coach Carlos Beguerie used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Keylan Boone (203-2000, college: UNLV) with 15 points and 7 assists and Venezuelan forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Racing Ch. moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Olimpico dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Gimnasia.
