No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedUnion Florida (4-4) beat on the road 9th ranked Lanus (1-8) 54-50 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for Delfina Saravia who led the winners and scored 16 points. Carla Miculka accounted for 7 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American power forward Jazmyn Turner (188-2001, college: IUPUI) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Luciana Delabarba (167-1997) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Lanus in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Union Florida moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gorriones. Lanus lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Union Florida will meet league's leader El Talar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lanus will have a break next round.
