There was a surprise result in Comodoro Rivadavia where twelfth rankedGimnasia (4-5) outscored higher ranked Regatas (5-4) 101-70 on Sunday. Gimnasia outrebounded Regatas 40-26 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gimnasia shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Emiliano Toretta who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Gimnasia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Eric Flor (190-1993) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Claudio Ramirez (200-1990) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gimnasia maintains twelfth position with 4-5 record, which they share with Union. Loser Regatas dropped to the ninth place with four games lost.
