There was no surprise when 12th rankedLas Heras (1-3) was edged at home by leader Comunicaciones (3-0) 75-74 on Wednesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Comunicaciones made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). point guard Lucas Machuca (185-1992) chipped in 19 points. Naturalized Italian guard Benjamin Marchiaro (194-2004) produced 19 points and 4 assists and Octavio Lagger added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
