There was an upset when 3rd placedRacing A. (3-2) was smashed by leader Quilmes (2-0) in Mar del Plata 80-60 on Sunday. Quilmes outrebounded Racing A. 45-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Federico De Miguel (176-1997, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 16 points. The former international center Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Ecuadorian power forward Matias Nunez (202-1995) came up with 14 points and swingman Luciano Silva (190-1996) added 13 points respectively for Racing A. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quilmes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Villa Mitre and Pico FC. Loser Racing A. dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
