There was a surprise result when ninth rankedFerro (6-4) crushed higher ranked Gimnasia CR (7-5) in Buenos Aires 93-64 on Friday. Ferro dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnasia CR 's 32. Ferro forced 19 Gimnasia turnovers and outrebounded them 32-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Martin Gonzalez who led the winners and scored 9 points and 6 assists. Juan Ryzwaniuk accounted for 8 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Ferro's coach Juan Di Gilio felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Jose Copesky (184-2006) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Natalio Santacroce added 17 points respectively for Gimnasia in the defeat. Ferro moved-up to eighth place. Loser Gimnasia CR keeps the fifth position with five games lost.
