There was a minor upset when 7th rankedSanta Paula (3-3) lost to ninth ranked Amancay (4-3) in La Rioja 62-66 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for guard Mauro Araujo (185-1994) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Diego Peralta accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Amancay players scored in double figures. Esteban Caffaro (200-2003) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Maurice Walton (206-1998, college: BENUM) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Santa Paula in the defeat. Santa Paula's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Amancay moved-up to third place, which they share with Racing A. Loser Santa Paula keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
