Very important is a home loss of third rankedComunicaciones (4-2) against seventh ranked Suardi (4-2) on Monday night. Host Comunicaciones was defeated by Suardi in a tough game in Mercedes 78-85 . Suardi made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Santiago Calderon (190) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Pablo Martinez helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Suardi's coach Andres Poi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Franco Fragozo (198-2001) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Lucas Machuca (185-1992) scored 13 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Suardi moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Comunicaciones . Suardi will play against Villa S.Martin (#4) in Resistencia in the next round. Comunicaciones will have a break next round.
