Regular Season Round 12: Centenario VT - El Talar 85-60

There was no surprise when 17th rankedEl Talar (1-2) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Centenario VT (3-2) 85-60 on Tuesday. Centenario VT dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to El Talar 's 22. They outrebounded El Talar 52-32 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Centenario VT looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lucio Castellani (196-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Matias Aristu (194-1995) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Centenario VT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Matias Cueva (185-1997) scored 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Centenario VT have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser El Talar keeps the seventeenth position with two games lost.
