Rather predictable result when fifth rankedGorriones (8-11) rolled over 8th ranked Riachuelo (3-16) in La Rioja 63-42 on Sunday. Gorriones held Riachuelo to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.9 percent accuracy of the winners. The winners were led by Jacqueline Soto (-1997, agency: BIG) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Joaquina Gregorio (168-2001, agency: BIG) supported her with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) did not help to save the game for Riachuelo . added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Gorriones went down to sixth position due to points difference. Riachuelo lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 16 games lost.
