Sixth-rankedQuimsa (9-10) was very close to win a game against second ranked Chanares (15-4) in James Craik. Chanares managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77 . However their fans expected much easier game. Chanares forced 22 Quimsa turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Italian point guard Regina Carosio (165-1986) who added 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Chanares' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Florencia Chagas (180-2001) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Chanares have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record having just two points less than leader Obras. Quimsa at the other side dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost.
