Regular Season Round 23: San Martin - Racing Ch. 76-68

We should mention about the upset which took place in Corrientes, where higher ranked Racing Ch. (7-10) lost to sixteenth ranked San Martin (5-10) in a road game 68-76 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Mateo Rearte (188-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Giovano Pertile helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four San Martin players scored in double figures. San Martin's coach Gustavo Mascaro used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joaquin Capurro responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Tomas Delia produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. San Martin moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Racing Ch. keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. San Martin will meet at home higher ranked Independ.O. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Racing Ch. will play against Penarol (#16) and hope to secure a win.
