Regular Season Round 27: Barrio Parque - Comunicaciones 81-77

Not a big story in a game when 12th rankedComunicaciones (5-6) lost to sixth ranked Barrio Parque (8-4) in Cordoba 77-81 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Barrio Parque looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Comunicaciones ' players. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Lautaro Rivata (190-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Benjamin Herrera (190-1999) accounted for 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Four Barrio Parque players scored in double figures. Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Franger Pirela (187-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Tomas Allende (190-2002) added 21 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Comunicaciones in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Barrio Parque . They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Salta Basket and Pico FC. Loser Comunicaciones dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost.
