Regular Season Round 25: Obera - Racing Ch. 79-81

The most exciting game of round 25 in the LDB took place in Obera. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Obera (9-10) to eleventh ranked Racing Ch. (9-10) 81-79 in the game for the ninth place. Tomas Delia stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Francisco Gonzalez chipped in 14 points. At the losing side Colombian point guard Edwin Niebles (178-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Spanish forward Tobias Reizner (203, college: Truman St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Racing Ch. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Gimnasia and Obera. Racing Ch. is looking forward to face league's second-placed La Union in Formosa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obera will have a break next round.
