There was an upset when higher rankedSalta Basket (9-6) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Comunicaciones (7-7) 101-97 on Tuesday. It was a great evening for Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Franger Pirela (187-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Damian Pineda (194-1988) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the losing side Tomas Botta responded with 20 points and 7 assists and guard Sahir Abdala (185-2005) scored 21 points. Five Salta Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Comunicaciones moved-up to tenth place. Loser Salta Basket keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
