No shocking result in a game when third rankedObras (16-3) crushed 14th ranked Penarol (7-13) in Mar del Plata 74-54 on Friday. Obras outrebounded Penarol 53-39 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for center Elias Torrens (203-2008) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Power forward Valentino Finetti (204-2005) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Power forward Martin Chapero (205-2007) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and guard Gonzalo Aman (190-2008) added 18 points respectively for Penarol in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Obras . They maintain third place with 16-3 record having just three point less than leader La Union. Loser Penarol keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost.
