Regular Season Round 27: Ferro - La Union 87-89

Seventh-rankedFerro (12-7) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked La Union (18-5) in Buenos Aires on Monday. The visitors from Formosa managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87 . However their fans expected much easier game. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ferro 's 32. 26 personal fouls committed by Ferro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Franco Gimenez (190) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Thiago Gronda contributed with 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. Tobias Tamagusuku answered with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Ulises Martorell (198-2006) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ferro. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Ferro's coach Juan Di Gilio tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-5 record. Ferro at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.
