LeadingLa Union (14-9) recorded its ninth loss in Buenos Aires. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Obras (14-7) 85-76 . Obras outrebounded La Union 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. American guard Ty Sabin (190-1994, college: Ripon) scored 20 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Obras' coach Guido Fabbris allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) with 22 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and power forward Sebastian Acevedo (200-1990) scored 12 points. Obras have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. La Union lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Obras will play against Platense (#15) in Florida in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Union will have a break next round.
