Very expected game in Buenos Aires where 9th rankedFerro (12-7) was defeated by third ranked Obras (15-8) 110-103 on Wednesday. Obras outrebounded Ferro 39-25 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Obras shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ty Sabin (190-1994, college: Ripon) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994) who added 17 points and 10 assists during the contest. point guard Jano Martinez (180-2003) responded with 16 points and point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-2001) scored 18 points. Five Obras and four Ferro players scored in double figures. Obras moved-up to second place. Ferro at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Obras will meet at home San Lorenzo (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ferro will play against the league's leader Independ.O. (#1) and hope to secure a win.
