Very expected game when 11th rankedIndependiente (9-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Salta Basket (13-8) 105-99 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Salta Basket made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Chance Hunter (198-1998, college: Cal Poly) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and Wilfredo Alvarez who added 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Salta Basket's coach Ricardo De Cecco allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists. Five Salta Basket and four Independiente players scored in double figures. Salta Basket maintains fifth position with 13-8 record, which they share with Quilmes. Independiente lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost.
