Regular Season Round 16: Independiente - El Talar 63-58

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked El Talar (7-4) lost to tenth ranked Independiente (6-6) in Neuquen 58-63 on Saturday. The winners were led by guard Laila Raviolo (180-2000, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 25 points and 8 rebounds and Martina Torres (180-2002) supported her with 9 points and 13 rebounds. Even 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) did not help to save the game for El Talar. Venezuelan Aguehil Fajardo (183-1999) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Independiente maintains tenth position with 6-6 record. Loser El Talar dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Independiente will meet at home league's second-placed Ferro in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. El Talar will play against Bigua in Neuquen and hope to secure a win.
