Regular Season Round 34: San Lorenzo - Instituto 76-86
Date: February 20, 2026
LDB top team -Instituto (22-5) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked San Lorenzo (12-13) in Almagra 86-76 . Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian forward Jerson Caicedo (204-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Lucas Andersson contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Valentino Nesci replied with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Danilo Beber added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for San Lorenzo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Lorenzo's coach Juan Veira rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Instituto have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-5 record. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Instituto will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Lorenzo will play on the road against Regatas (#4) in Corrientes and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
