Very expected game when 13th rankedUnion (11-13) lost to fifth ranked Quimsa (16-10) in Santa Fe 74-88 on Saturday. Quimsa outrebounded Union 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international Leonardo Lema (203-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Diego Figueredo (185-1991, agency: BIG) supported him with 17 points. Even a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds by American power forward Theo Akwuba (210-2000, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Union . Venezuelan guard Yeferson Guerra (192-2003) added 15 points. Five Union players scored in double figures. Quimsa have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Union lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost.
