Not a big story in a game when 15th rankedPlatense (10-14) lost to eleventh ranked Boca Juniors (13-12) in Buenos Aires 91-95 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Wayne Langston (200-1993, college: Murray St.) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Boca Juniors' coach Gonzalo Perez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by American forward Derrick Woods (203-1996, college: St.Peter's, agency: SLN) did not help to save the game for Platense . The former international Eric Flor (190-1993) added 20 points and 4 assists. Four Boca Juniors and five Platense players scored in double figures. Boca Juniors have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Penarol. Loser Platense keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost.
