There was an upset in Cordoba where higher rankedInstituto (7-6) was edged by fourteenth ranked San Jose (4-8) 75-73 on Wednesday. San Jose forced 21 Instituto turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Virginia Peralta (172-2006, agency: BIG) who led her team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. Bolivian Romina Moreira (-1999) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. San Jose moved-up to thirteenth place. Instituto at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Independiente.
