Comunicaciones outrebounded Colon 39-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Franger Pirela (187-2002) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Tomas Allende (190-2002) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Swingman Hans Ponce (192-1999) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and guard Federico Gonzalez (183-1988) scored 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Comunicaciones have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place.
