We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th rankedSalta Basket (15-11) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Santa Paula (16-11) 97-65 on Friday. Santa Paula dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Salta Basket 's 28. They outrebounded Salta Basket 43-27 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santa Paula shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Ecuadorian forward Joseph Caicedo (196-2004) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Walter Puebla (193) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest.
