Important game to mention about took place in Buenos Aires. Eighteenth rankedRacing Ch. (9-19) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Ferro (17-9) 81-80 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) saved the victory by scoring 20 points. The other American import center Deion McClenton (208, college: Keiser) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-2001) replied with 20 points and Paraguayan center Leonel Bettiga (208) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Ferro. Four Racing Ch. and five Ferro players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Racing Ch. maintains eighteenth position with 9-19 record. Ferro at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost.
