Not a big story in a game when 13th rankedUnion (10-15) lost to fifth ranked Platense (19-8) in Florida 79-93 on Friday. Platense dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Union 's 38. They outrebounded Union 45-22 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Giovanni Pappalardi nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) accounted for 20 points and 11 rebounds. Platense's coach Martin De Zan used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Agustin Ferrari (-2005) came up with 20 points and Pablo Spies added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Union in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Platense . They maintain fifth place with 19-8 record. Loser Union dropped to the fourteenth position with 15 games lost.
