Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenPenarol (15-14) and San Lorenzo (11-17), which took place in Mar del Plata. Higher ranked Penarol lost at home to sixteenth ranked San Lorenzo 71-79 on Saturday. Strangely Penarol outrebounded San Lorenzo 47-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Lucas Perez (184-1987) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Selem Safar (191-1987) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. American forward Al Thornton (203-1983, college: FSU, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and the former international center Ivan Basualdo (203-1990) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Penarol in the defeat. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Lorenzo moved-up to fifteenth place. Penarol at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost.
