There was a minor upset when 13th rankedUnion (11-16) lost to fifteenth ranked Platense (11-16) in Florida 88-93 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Julian Morales (195-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Derrick Woods (203-1996, college: St.Peter's, agency: SLN) accounted for 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Platense players scored in double figures. Venezuelan guard Yeferson Guerra (192-2003) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Theo Akwuba (210-2000, college: Ole Miss) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Union in the defeat. Union SF's coach Maximiliano Seigorman tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Platense moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Union. Union lost sixth consecutive game.
