Regular Season Round 37: Penarol - San Lorenzo 72-56

There was an upset when higher ranked San Lorenzo (13-15) lost to fourteenth ranked Penarol (11-17) in Mar del Plata 56-72 on Saturday. Point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) nailed 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Gonzalo Aman (190-2008) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Felipe Fernandez came up with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Valentino Nesci added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for San Lorenzo in the defeat. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser San Lorenzo dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Racing Ch.. Penarol will meet Boca Jrs. (#17) in the next round. San Lorenzo will play against Platense (#5) and hope to secure a win.
