There was an upset in Chivilcoy where higher rankedUnion (11-16) was defeated by eighteenth ranked Racing Ch. (10-20) 84-80 on Monday. Racing Ch. made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Union outrebounded Racing Ch. 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) fired 23 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. The former international guard Nicolas Romano (200-1987) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Racing Ch. players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Franco Balbi (189-1989) produced 20 points and 4 assists and American power forward Theo Akwuba (210-2000, college: Ole Miss) added 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Union SF's coach Maximiliano Seigorman rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Racing Ch. moved-up to seventeenth place. Union lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Platense.
