Not a big story in a game when 14th rankedBigua (6-10) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Union Florida (9-7) 69-59 on Saturday. Union Florida outrebounded Bigua 46-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Nija Collier (183-1999, college: Central Mo.) who scored 9 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Maria Laviero (172-1996) chipped in 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Union Florida's coach Nicolas Grosso used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Chilean point guard Javiera Campos (163-2002) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Bigua players scored in double figures. Union Florida have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 9-7 record, which they share with Instituto. Loser Bigua keeps the fourteenth place with ten games lost.
